Cycles for Change is now in our Winter Hours! Cycles for Change's Winter Hours are:
- Monday 4-8pm (Volunteer Night)
- Wednesday 4-8pm (Open Shop)
- Saturday 12-5pm (Open Shop)
- Sunday CLOSED
- Tuesday Women's and Trans night CLOSED
Cycles for Change provides a number of opportunities for youth to get involved in the organization. We teach young people how to repair and maintain their bicycles, how to ride them safely, and we get them thinking about how bikes relate to larger ideas of transportation and community.
Want to get involved
Cycles for Change offers a number of programs on our own or through partner organizations. If you are intrested in any of the bellow listed programs let us know. Or if you want to create a new opportunity please contact us.
Youth Apprenticeship Program
We are very excited about our new paid apprenticeship program this summer! From June through August, youth ages 14-21 have had the opportnity to gain extensive skills in bicycle mechanics, learn how a small non-profit business operates, and help with many other parts of Cycles for Change's operations such as teaching classes and doing outreach.
To apply please fill out the application and email it back to micah@sibleybikedepot.org. You can also complete a paper copy at Cycles for Change.
Youth Mechanic Classes
Cycles for Change is able to offer youth mechanic classes through a number of organizations. For St. Paul public school students we offer classes through St. Paul connections. We are also able to offer classes through St. Paul Community Education. Additionally we often are able to partner with schools or organizations to offer classes directly to youth. If you would like to partner let us know. In 2011 we were able to partner with Model Cities, Gordon Parks High School, The Science Musems Kity Anderson Youth Science Center, Youth Farm and Market, and many others.
If you have questions about the programs we offer, contact micah@sibleybikedepot.org.
