Thanks for the Support Yesterday!!

***Sibley raises $3500 Tuesday for the Fall Fundraising Campaign!

Thank you so incredibly much for your generous support yesterday; you helped Sibley have the biggest fundraising day EVER for this organization!  We raised $3505 in funds, bringing our total raised for the Fall Fundraising Campaign to $8700.

You were a part of something huge yesterday.  Community members like you donated over $14 million throughout the state.  It's wonderful to be a part of a community that values the hard work of so many small organizations working to create change in this world.  Your support is instrumental in allowing Sibley Bike Depot to continue the important work of refurbishing landfill-bound bicycles for use by under-served community members.  Your help makes sure that we continue to offer our youth programs free to all participants, that our Open Shop stays open and free, and that we continue to provide educational opportunities in bike maintenance, safe cycling, winter commuting, and so much more.

***Sibley receives Community Hero award!

Yesterday, Sibley proudly accepted the Community Hero award for our programs promoting bicycling in the community, including our free Open Shop, our many youth earn-a-bike classes, and our bike donations.  The Commuter Choice awards, put on by MetroTransit, St. Paul Smart Trips, and others, recognizes employers, organizations, and community members who work tirelessly to promote sustainable transportation options, including biking, walking, public transit, and carpooling.

A special thanks goes out to all the volunteers who put in countless hours working to make this organization strong; to the contributors who help to sustain this organization with their incredible support; and to the great folks in the bike and transit community who help to spread the word about the work we do, and partner with us in building a movement for sustainable transportation and biking.
