The Sibley Bike Depot offers a number of affordable and free classes for adults (youth are welcome if accompanied by a parent, guardian, or mentor). Register early - classes usually fill up well in advance!

Class Descriptions
Basic Bike Maintenance
This is a complete introduction to the basics of maintaining your bicycle. Here is a rewarding personal experience to save money and ensure access to reliable transportation.
Commuting By Bicycle
This course will give you skills and confidence to start riding your bike in traffic and around town. This class assumes that you can get on a bike and pedal, but no further experience is required.
Complete Overhaul
Students are guided step by step to bring a shop bicycle into working condition. Technical explanations are given for all bike systems with plenty of time for one on one instruction.
Learn to Ride
Experience the freedom and fun of riding a bicycle! This is a class for adults who haven't had the chance to learn to ride a bike. We will provide bikes to learn with.
Trailer Construction
Seriously expand your bikes cargo limit all from largely recycled materials.
Wheel Building
Get acquainted with proper spoke tension while learning to lace spokes into hubs and rims. Wheel-truing is also covered in this course.
Winter Commuting
Overcome the cold and prevent bike corrosion while learning to adapt to all other winter hazards.
